A very heavy disaster, unlike anything we have seen in our regions before, has struck us. We find ourselves in a situation that seems unreal. We are under a cruel attack unlike any in the history of the State of Israel. Our situation is beyond bearing. Hundreds of citizens and soldiers, innocent and free of guilt, have been mercilessly killed solely because they are Jewish. Thousands are wounded, some in critical condition and others in dire straits. More than 100 prisoners, among them adults, women, children, and infants, and the number is growing, have been taken captive.
Amidst all this terrible pain, in the midst of the exchange of fire and missile attacks, while security forces and all involved parties are striving to recover and understand what is happening and how to act, there is still great chaos. Thousands of civilians are still unaware of the fate of their loved ones, and thousands of people who fled their homes with only the clothes on their backs don’t know what the future holds for them in the coming days. Israel is heading into a long-lasting war, and when it will end remains unknown.
The unity among our people is astounding, and now is the time to demonstrate our uniqueness and mutual commitment and to help Am Yisrael get through these days in every way possible.
We urgently need large quantities of food, medicine, and clothing, as well as places to stay for hundreds of families turning to us for help. Many trauma victims require medical and psychological treatment, and children who have lost their parents or have been taken captive and are now alone need our assistance.
We are giving out supplies and hundreds of Tzitzis to soldiers.
