A Jewish woman was allegedly tripped and injured by an unknown male suspect, raising concerns of a another possible hate crime in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn on Thursday.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:10 AM as the victim was walking westbound on Empire Blvd, nearing the intersection of Bedford Avenue, police said.
According to the victim’s account, an unidentified black male deliberately tripped her, causing her to fall and sustain minor injuries.
The victim was transported to Maimonides Hospital for further medical evaluation. Fortunately, she has since been treated and discharged.

Should be treated as so, nothing less
Police must find him immediate and deal accordingly
Remember when animals were only in the zoo, not on the streets .
The police have not and will not do a thing.
Need more police
We need police standing on more streets
Not just in front of 770
Or on Kingston
No we don’t need police. Shomrim need more volunteers and they should be on patrol to deal with these individuals as they deserve. Talk their language and they’ll be scared to show face again.
They call that a gang.
Psycho ward must be a mandatory, who let unstable people to be on the streets doing drugs?
Shouldn’t the blocks in CH be decked with cameras?
the hatred is over whelming between the black community and the Jewish community . we need interjection like we had after the riots
with reb lazerson and mr green and others
Interesting how someone recognized the importance of what Dr David Lazerson and Dr Richard Green of the Crown Heights Youth Collective who put together Project C.U.R.E in 1992 the mission of which was bringing youth and adults together from the black and Jewish community to talk, engage and discuss their misperceptions of each other. CURE stands for Communication, Understanding, Respect and Education. Dr Laz as he was and is known and Dr. Green started this project at the request of then Borough President Howie Golden who immediately after the 1991 Riots realized something out of the box had to be done.… Read more »
They are getting bolder because no action is being taken. It’s the locals doing their thing, the outrageous influx of drug shelters being placed into our community, and then we have the new migrant centers. All intentionally creating a culture of crime and social deterioration in the beautiful community we built. What could possibly go wrong? Don’t wait until the first korban c”v!
If you live on the South side of Eastern Parkway, you can attend your community board meetings and have an impact. Since this is a public safety issue, I recommend joining the Public Safety committee which meets once a month. https://www.nyc.gov/site/brooklyncb9/about/about-bkcb9.page is the link to get information. The committees are on break till September. Most likely the calendar will populate at end of August. You don’t have to be a member to join the committees.
Why is there so much antisemitism here and abroad? Thats where we should start. Im sure the answers are all the same. Palestine etc…
The only time this distorted corrupt law enforcement system Actually books someone for a hate crime it’s on the rare occasion that a Jew (or, recently, even other law abiding citizens) successfully defends himself or someone else from a crime. Apparently that is the only ‘crime’ worth pursuing.
such as “animals” are blatantly prejudiced. We are hurt upon hearing things like “”cheapskates!”. I’m sure you know that not all of any one group exhibits the same thought process or behavior. May we aspire to menchkite.
4 major new developments coming to our neighborhood for hundreds of mentally Ill ppl. No pushback from any of our representatives. This is outrageous!!!
We must do something about it now , if it’s not already too late.
Maybe the ones doing the crime have been gentrified. Maybe they live in a slumlord’s building. Maybe there mother was swindled out of there house and she left for the south and left him in the street. If antisemitism is all over the world then maybe step back and review what your doing wrong.
something is really off with your thinking. are you trying to give an innocent motive to this criminal behavior?
We are talking about hate crimes not everyday crimes. I have lived here since the 60’s and worked in Brooklyn as a public servant for 30yrs. This is not a one sided story. We hear about the hate crimes on the news but never told what the motive was. They keep that a secret. Lets educate the community. Im going to give you a scenario. A jew bought a corner property. A black family lived there for 10yrs. The kids were selling lemonade on a hot summer day when they were approached by the jews. Argument started. Jew actually stuck… Read more »
