The music is blasting and the counselors, all singing and dancing along, have made a tunnel for the campers to pass through as they descend off of the camp bus into a different world – the magical world of CKids Gan Israel Florida.
A world where the grounds are just as stunning and decked out as in the pictures, the meal greeting them was actually delicious, and the staff were really THAT nice.
Instantly at home, the boys were divided into their bunks and met their counselors. With barely a few moments to settle in…the adventure quickly began!
Line-up, archery, carnivals, inflatable, ropes course, enthusiastic davening, learning and a campground filled with so much nature to explore!
Mrs. Chaya Plotkin, co-director of CKids Gan Israel related, “As a year of meticulous behind the scenes work turns to non-stop action, the work is 24/7 put the smiles that we see on the campers’ faces from the moment they wake up until the moment they fall asleep are worth every single bit of effort.”
The energy is through the roof as the excitement and wonder of the campers is matched only by the dedication and positivity that each and every counselor and staff member exudes. “While the activities are thrilling and non-stop, the magic often happens in the small moments,” Rabbi Levi Plotkin, Co-director of Ckids Gan Israel explains. “The campers building relationships with their counselors and with each other, becoming more familiar with the davening with each passing day, and subconsciously stopping to pick up their kippa when it falls off their head…yiddishkeit is becoming real to them.”
