Now in its third year, JewQ France, completed another successful season. Throughout the year, more than 250 children devoted their time to studying “Vivre son Judaisme” and participated in quarterly tests tailored to their respective levels.
Their hard work and dedication was celebrated at a grand Sikoum party held at the esteemed Espace Rashi auditorium. The event was a resounding success, filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of accomplishment. To recognize the outstanding achievements of the students, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals were awarded to the top performers from each center, while prizes were presented to all participants.
The festivities at the Espace Rashi auditorium included a variety of engaging activities for the children. They were treated to a mesmerizing Kinous, starting with a spectacular “sound and light” show that enthralled all participants and words of encouragement from CKids International Director Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal. In the usual JewQ fashion, an incredible interactive game was organized, allowing the students to put their acquired knowledge to the test in a fun and engaging manner.
After the children showcased their knowledge, the Grand Winner of the national championship was announced to a standing ovation from the audience. Standing out from all the talented participants, Lola Ittah from the Chabad House of Sèvres emerged as the victor, receiving well-deserved accolades and recognition for her exceptional performance.
“We are thrilled to witness the tremendous growth and success of the French JewQ program as it completes its third year,” said Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice-Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Chairman of CKids International, “the dedication and knowledge shown by these children are truly inspiring.”
Adding to the excitement of the evening, a lucky draw was picked for one finalist to travel to New York for Gimmel Tammuz. Sacha Malka from the Chabad House of Paris 17th Batignolles emerged as the winner to represent all the JewQ students.
In a fitting reward for their perseverance and dedication, all students who achieved a 70 percent average were treated to a grand trip to Parc Asterix amusement park. This well-deserved outing allowed the students to connect to other Jewish kids their age from other communities, have fun, and create lasting memories, further motivating them in their quest for Torah knowledge.
“We are so proud of the accomplishment of our students,” said CKids France Director Yisroel Assouline. “Seeing all the effort that they put in to learn more Torah is remarkable.”
The JewQ program, spearheaded by Rabbi Mendel Raskin, JewQ Director, has seen incredible growth worldwide, expanding from 150 to 230 chapters just throughout the last year. The program plays a vital role in shaping the Jewish identity of young children around the world who don’t have the opportunity to attend a Jewish day school, providing them with a solid foundation of Torah knowledge and instilling a sense of pride in their Yiddishkeit. By making learning interactive and engaging, the program has effectively resonated with the young champions.
