Rabbi Avraham Holtzberg orchestrated the annual Lag Ba’omer festival at Chabad of Georgetown, which drew a crowd of over 3,000 men, women, and children.
The participants immersed themselves in a variety of engaging activities, including entertainment, a barbecue, raffles, thrilling rides, captivating music by DJ Jordan, a mesmerizing bonfire, and much more.
The crowd was astounded by the exceptional talent of a drum band composed of boys from Oholei Torah in Crown Heights.
In an inspiring and moving addition to the event, men and boys over 13 lined up to put on tefillin at a booth set up in honor of this special occasion. The attendees were also encouraged to purchase a letter in a sefer Torah. There was an atmosphere of spiritual excitement in the crowd.
Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, representing Tzivos Hashem Headquarters, enthralled the children with the enchanting story that lay behind the Lag Ba’omer celebration. Exciting raffles, including a grand prize raffle for a Nintendo Switch, added to the festive atmosphere.
Attendees were free to explore numerous attractions throughout the event, such as a colossal pirate ship, the thrilling Ferris Wheel, and exciting inflatable rides. Additionally, horseback riding was available for those seeking a unique experience.
