With the Hatzalahthon 4 fundraiser concluding on Lag BaOmer, the success is truly remarkable, with nearly $14 million raised for Hatzalah branches worldwide.
As grateful Hatzalah chapters around the world are thanking their many donors, organizers say they are amazed at the enormous grass roots efforts on the part of a few individual team leaders, who have spearheaded successful fundraisers for their local branches.
Of over 3,500 participating teams, the top fundraiser of the Hatzalahthon 4 was a Lubavitcher from South Florida, who came in at first place.
Tzemach Rosenfeld of Bay Harbour, Florida, raised a staggering $251,565 for Hatzalah of South Florida’s campaign, which raised a total of $1,106,666. Rosenfeld is a businessman who moved from New York to Florida a few years ago, and has become very active in his local Hatzalah chapter.
See below for the top ten team leaders who have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Hatzalah organization.
