The Temimim of Yeshivas Chabad Vienna completed a special one-week study journey in Eretz Yisroel.
Throughout the winter zman, the temimim toiled day and night in limud hatorah. In the month of Elul, they started off by learning Mishnayos Avodah Zara (the masechta that is being taught in shiur alef), and in the months of MarCheshvon through Teves they learned 8 blatt l’iyun.
In preparation for the auspicious day of Yud Shvat, tests were held in the yeshiva on the sugiyos being learned (as well as on the sugya of “Ahavas Yisroel” in Chassidus), through which they earned the trip.
The journey was kicked off with a “Leil Shishi” event. The Thursday night before the trip was dedicated to learning, and through the night until morning the kol torah of individual learning, chavrusas and shiurim, echoed in the zal.
Early Monday morning, the temimim set off to Eretz Yisroel, accompanied by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Chaim Fieldsteel and the Magid Shiur Rabbi Yisroel Chasin.
“Avira DeEretz Yisroel Machkim”, every moment was well spent learning and growing in the ways of Chasiddus. Special classes, Tefilos at Mekomos HaKedoshim, uplifting farbrengens, tours and acquaintances of Eretz HaKodesh, were the theme of the packed week. From the Kosel to Katzrin, and from Tzfas to the “Tzemach Tzedek” shul in the old city; Hashem, the Rebbe, Torah and Mitzvos became closer, more tangible, and more joyful.
The main course of the journey were tests and lessons conducted by roshei yeshivos, rabbonim and mashpeim in Eretz Yisroel. The highlights were a special shiur and farbrengen with Rabbi Yitzchok Goldberg – the Rosh Yeshiva of Migdal HaEmek, a special Chassidus shiur with Rabbi Chaim Sholom Deitsch – the Rosh Kolel of “Tzemach Tzedek”, and a wonderful Shabbos with Rabbi Shneor Aizenman – Magid Shiur at Yeshivas Toras Emes, who came especially to join the temimim and farbreng with them on Shabbos.
The yeshiva would like to express a dearest and deepest thank you to the shluchim – Rabbi Shalom Ber Marzel and R’ Chilik Lokshin, who with a warm heart and as a special favor opened for us the “Tiferes Menachem” shul in Nachlaot, and R’ Mendy Yusevitch who went out of his way to help us enjoy the “Tzemach Tzedek” Shul in the old city. The zechus of the temimim’s talmud torah will stand for them for brocho vehatzlocha.
The journey concluded early Sunday morning with a strong feeling of “ייראה אל עבדיך פעליך והדרך על בניהם (Let your deeds be seen by your servants and your glory upon their children)” – Rebbe, look at your temimim, your servants-children, see how they invest their lives in learning torah and thus proudly carry your actions, see how “the light of G-d shines on their faces” (as explained by Rabbi Maimon, the Rambam’s father, in his “letter of consolation”), and therefore – return! Ad Mosai? Comfort your servants, to boast about them and say “Reu Gidulim ShGidalti.”

Such lucky bochrim, what a special experience!
May the yeshiva continue succeeding, מחיל אל חיל!
