By an admirer from Florida
These days, everyone is trying to GET our attention. But it seems like less and less people care to PAY attention.
You know what I mean?
It’s like everyone always wants something from us. But most aren’t really ready to listen.
To answer our petty questions when we’re feeling indecisive. To be a rock of support when we’re going through a tough time. To guide us in our Yiddishkeit so we’re always doing the right thing. To understand the struggles we have with our children.
The few people that do this for us, are the angels in our lives.
Today, I want to write about an angel in my life.
He came in the form of a Shliach to California. His name is Rabbi Mendel Lipskier.
Over the last ten years, this man has spent dozens and dozens of hours on the phone with me. Listening. Empathizing. Advising. PAYING attention.
And from what I’ve gathered, I’m not the only one. There are tens and hundreds more like me.
Maybe you’re one of them.
If not, chances are high that someone near or dear to you has benefited from this incredible Shliach.
He is the angel in so many lives.

Why am I writing all this today?
I’ll be honest. I’m trying to get your attention.
Rabbi Lipskier and his wife Shternie, are running a giving campaign for their Chabad house today.
I ask you one thing: Be the angel in their life.
It’s a click away.

Give and appreciate what you have received from him. I am.
