Mrs. Chana Bienenfeld, a resident of Farmingdale, NY and mother of Mrs. Shoshana Lifshitz, passed away on 19 Cheshvan, 5783 in New York.
Mrs. Bienenfeld lived for many decades in Farmingdale, NY, where her home was a beacon of light as the only frum home in town. Together with her husband, Reb Moshe Bienenfeld a”h they influenced many local Yidden in the observance of Torah and Mitzvos.
Despite the difficulties of keeping Cholov Yisroel outside of frum neighborhoods in the 1970s, they valiantly kept to the highest standards.
Mrs. Bienenfeld served as a Talmud Torah teacher for over 50 years.
She merited to be at Yechidus with the Rebbe and was always proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, many of whom serve as Shluchim and Rabbonim.
She recently celebrated her 90th birthday.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Shoshana Lifshitz of Cincinnati, Ohio and her son, Rabbi Yaakov Bienenfeld of Harrison, NY.
The levaya was held in New York on Sunday, 19 Cheshvan.
Shiva will be held in the Bienenfeld home in Harrison, NY.
