On Purim Katan, Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh’s first-grade girls held their Chumash play to celebrate the occasion of receiving their very first chumashim and beginning to learn inside.
The girls performed a play that told the story of Rabbi Akiva and his wife, Rochel’s, selflessness in allowing him to leave home to study Torah.
The students have been hard at work preparing for this momentous occasion for the past few months, with the dedicated help of their morahs. The sweetness of the occasion should carry through to their future Torah study.
