Following the incident last week in which JEM’s iconic YouTube channel was taken offline by a stream of false claims submitted by a username under the name “Moshiach,” a group of three of the organization’s supporters have launched a campaign to show support for JEM’s mission.
The three young entrepreneurs, Danny Shapiro, Ari Greenwald and Ben Federman, told COLlive.com that the campaign’s goal is to send a message to the JEM team they won’t let anything get in the way, and that JEM’s mission must be further increased.
The three are actively campaigning and encourage all who benefit from JEM’s work, to get involved and show support for the organization which has been dedicated to the mission of preserving and sharing the Rebbe’s videos and photos to the entire world.
“Whether you watch ‘Living Torah,’ enjoy the ‘My Encounter’ interviews, read the weekly ‘Here’s My Story,’ or follow one of JEM’s 15+ social media channels, or your children are enjoying Connection Point in school, please take a moment and donate tonight,” they said.
“It’s one thing when we get behind a communal initiative because we’re obligated to,” said Shapiro, “but it’s an entirely different thing to get behind JEM, which has personally benefitted each of us as they single-handedly work to distribute videos and messages of the Rebbe to an ever-growing audience, constantly.”
“It is our job and our zechus to make sure JEM has the resources and support to continue doing this incredible work,” Greenwald said. “Chanukah is a prime time where the world over experiences the amazing audio and video that has been preserved and produced by JEM. It is the perfect time to show our support for all they do for all of us.”
