The Chabad community in Amsterdam got together to light up the city with the first time ever car Menora parade this Chanukah.
This was arranged by Rabbi Eli and Faigale Spiero together with Rabbi Akiva and Taiby Camisar.
The reactions were astonishing!
The Jewish pride shown were a wake up call to many people who saw the convoy passing their homes on the busy streets and intersections.
The joy was so much that it burst into spontaneous dancing and people driving by stopping to ask for a menorah or a doughnut.
“I didn’t expect it but was moved to tears”, said one passerby.
“Seeing it was an enormous encouragement”, said another.
“It was really moving to have this open manifestation of Jewish pride here,” another emotional passerby said.
