With the holiday of Shavuos bringing many guest Rabbis to the Rebbe’s Shchuna, the Kolel L’horaah Ma’asis of Crown Heights is honored to welcome esteemed guests to address the Kolel.
With Kolel restarting Wednesday, the first guest Shiur was delivered Thursday by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Nachshon, Rosh Yeshiva of the Chabad Yeshiva Gedola in Nof Hagalil (Formerly Upper Nazareth), and Dayan in Israel, who recently edited the Shaalos uTshuvos of Rabbi Yosef Tumarkin – Chabad Rov in the days of the Tzemach Tzedek.
His Shiur discussed topics in Hilchos Mezuzah, and presented a novel explanation for the long-running dispute among Chabad Poskim about the definition of a “Heker Tzir” in Mezuzah placement, with the Yungeleit actively engaged in the discussion.
The Kolel, headed by the Rosh Kolel Rabbi Sholom Shuchat, Sgan Rosh Kolel Rabbi Shraga Homnick, is concluding the first highly-successful year, and preparing for the upcoming year, when the Yungeleit will be learning Hilchos Niddah and Medicine in Halacha, and Practical Modern applications of Hilchos Shabbos.
