Rivky Elyashiv is getting married in two months. The young girl bravely explains that her mother was niftar recently and her father is out of the picture. She is engaged to what she describes as a wonderful man and her wedding is in 2 months. But she has almost no money to start her new life…She doesn’t even have a wedding dress.
Without a mother, father, or even their great-grandfather’s support, the family’s situation is heart-breaking.
“It is hard for me to find the words to describe what it was like having to say goodbye to such an important person in my life”, says the 22 year old. “When she died, everything fell apart. My siblings and I were taken in by friends and relatives. Our financial situation is terrible.”
