A group of Crown Heights leaders has issued a call: Your vote is essential.
The Crown Heights Political Action Committee: Chanina Sperlin, Zaki Tamir, Shea Hecht and Moshe Pinson, called on Jewish residents of Crown Heights to get out and vote in Tuesday’s elections.
“By going to vote, you are saying you care about all that has happened over the past 4 years. This is your time to say Thank You to President Donald Trump for everything that he has done,” they said.
The PAC notes Trump’s moving the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, his protecting Jewish students against antisemitism on campus, protecting Israel from Iran and its proxies in Lebanon and Gaza, standing up for our religious rights during the COVID pandemic, supporting private education and freeing Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.
“Just as importantly, by voting, you are telling our local officials that the Jewish community of Crown Heights is a force to be reckoned with for all the issues we care about,” they said.
These include Safety on the Streets, Religious Education, keeping our schools and businesses open, not being bullied by the City and State, and all the day-to day issues that affect the community’s daily lives.
“Only by turning out at the polls, can we tell our elected officials that they need to pay attention to our community,” they said.
Today’s voting is in your regular polling locations. Check here if you are not sure where to go https://findmypollsite.vote.nyc/.
“Early reports are that the lines are not too long,” they said. “This is your chance!”
