The sidewalks in front of 770 Eastern Parkway are being cleaned throughout the Tishrei month with the help of a generous donor.
The area outside of the building on Eastern Parkway near Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights is teeming with people throughout the entire month, when thousands of guests join the residents who daven in the Shul. The building and the area in front of it serve as a main social hub for the community as well.
During Tishrei, a large tent is built outside the Shul to accommodate even more people for davening and learning.
To make the experience more pleasant for all visitors and residents, a cleaning crew has been hired to keep the area clean. Crews arrive daily in 2 8-hour shifts, sponsored by philanthropists Yossi and Batsheva Popack.
“It’s really long overdue,” said Mendel Mintz, who built the tent outside of 770. “Much credit should be given to Mr. Popack for stepping up to the plate for the benefit of the community and guests.”
Next thing is the facade (brickword and the white areas around windows
and doors shold be spruced up and painted). Get ready for Moshiach!
Aishel should have to clean it, they should have shifts of their bochurim doing it.
Maybe then they will understand not to make such a mess.
You are right that there are people that are careless and leave a mess but a big part of it is not from carelessness just like any big event it is normal that when there are a lot of people it leaves a big mess
