It was standing room only at the Chai Elul farbrengen for the ladies of Ramat Beit Shemesh on Monday night.
Rebbetzin Rochel Vechter of Kiryiat Malachi was introduced by Mrs. Leah Sheina Bitton. Rebbetzin Vechter spoke at the home of Mrs. Esther Reichman about the significance of Chai Elul and how we continue to be impacted by this Chassidishe Yom Tov today.
Rebbetzin Vechter brought humorous anecdotes and deep insights into how Chai Elul and Chodesh Elul are connected. She also led the crowd in singing niggunim and the emotions we felt as we sang these familiar niggunim evoked (in those of us who had the zchus to spend Elul/Tishrei in Crown Heights) memories of being in 770 with the Rebbe.
This was a truly inspiring evening and ended only because the hour grew late. A p’an with the names of participants will be sent to the Rebbe, organizers said.
