Technology has changed so much about the way we connect as human beings. When was the last time you actually laughed out loud when you responded with “LOL”?
In Jewish philosophy, communication is more than just a tool: it is who we are. Humans are defined as communicative beings with a communicative soul. Aligning ourselves with this soul is our purpose in life.
While some people parade “highlight reels” of their private lives with hundreds of “friends” on Facebook, many of us struggle, in real life, to communicate effectively with husbands or wives, friends, colleagues and our children.
Communication: Its Art and Soul, a new six-session course by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI), distills ancient Jewish wisdom and couples it with the latest developments in psychological research to find the secrets behind healthy and effective communication.
think of all the CH teens (and adults) searching for Chassidus relevant to their lives and really all lubavitchers everywhere… There’s in reach and out reach, can this please be available to the insiders as well? thank you for this amazing work
Kudos to JLI! In today’s modern world there’s so many conflicting psychological approaches, some selfish, human and misguided. I’ve been looking for these communication tools for so long, just wanted to get it from a pure source. Thank you JLI for keeping us inline to the truth
I’m sure you can find a topic like this in thousands of modern day psychology books. But those are all the thoughts of human minds and they each say something else and it becomes confusing to know the real truth. What I love about JLI is how their entire curriculum is based on Torah and chassidus sources, and they take that and translate that into a psychological study, keeping it totally inline to the real truth. A hard, delicate work and a real need, thank you so much. Can us old timers in the shchuna get it too?
Yes! How can a crown heights-er access it? We so need it too. I would defiantly appreciate such a course
Do they offer one for crown heights women?
Do they have this coarse in Crown Heights? For the community?
