This Sunday June 17th, the 4th of Tammuz, All My Children (AMC) is hosting an Open House at the 420 Lefferts Avenue location and inviting you to a fun filled and exciting family event.
There will be a Community Street Fair with rides, food, and entertainment right outside its doors on Lefferts Avenue between New York and Brooklyn Avenues. The open house is an opportunity for parents to come see the updated facility and meet the nurturing staff at AMC.
Mrs. Chedvi Baras, the education director at AMC Lefferts, has injected her energy, creativity and professionalism to promote a warm, engaging, and high quality educational environment with Morahs who are truly dedicated to the childrens’ well-being. Chedvi comes to All My Children with a multitude of experience both in her professional and personal life. Chedvi’s mother, Mrs. Malka Tauger, is a renowned educator, lecturer, and author, and Chedvi has benefited from her keen insight as well.
The site boasts large well-arranged classrooms, with engaging and developmentally appropriate materials. An indoor and outdoor playground allows year round gross motor activities. A Chinuch board meets regularly to ensure the curriculum is guided by the Rebbe’s directives and reflective of our Chassidishe values, as well as meeting the educational standards required.
This affordable, government subsidized program offers care from 8 am to 5 pm to accommodate working parents with young children. One parent, asking to confidentially share, stated “Knowing my child is with a loving teacher, getting hot nutritious meals and I am paying 15$ a week …yes, a week, has eased my returning to work. Honestly, we can’t manage on my husband’s paycheck and I am so grateful to All My Children!” Another raved about the services her child was receiving. All My Children provides for all the special education and related services a child may need.
It has been five years since AMC opened at the Lefferts Avenue location and they have raised the bar in quality child care and early childhood education. They have employed hundreds from our own community, thus being a vital agency for opportunity and progress in Crown Heights.
Additionally, Sunday’s celebration marks three years of the Book Mobile, a service very much appreciated by the Crown Heights families, as it provides a traveling library for children. All avidly welcome this well stocked mobile which features many books for children to enjoy. As Rochel G. mentioned, “My children look forward to the book mobile and it has clearly improved their knowledge and reading abilities. I don’t know why this was not started sooner- it is a great idea and my children love it!”
We congratulate All My Children on this milestone and wish them many more years of success. Thank you for your efforts to assisting the community in so many important ways!
This Sunday 12:00-5:00pm, come join and see for yourself, the difference All My Children has made.
