A group of bochurim managed to remaster a rare picture of the Rebbe walking to hs home on New York Avenue in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood.
The rare picture of the Rebbe walking the streets of Crown Heights has been remastered and edited.
The Rebbe is seen walking on New York and President Street, walking to his home which was then in the apartment building at 346 New York Avenue, in apt 4D, from the years 1941 – 1953.
The Rebbe and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka later moved to 1304 President street, where they lived until the Rebbetzin’s passing.
The bochurim who discovered the photo said they have other pictures which they hope to publish at a later date.
Didn’t the Rebbe continue to reside at 1304 President all the years AFTER the Rebbetzin’s passing?
May Hashem grant that way before and in honor of the Rebbetzin’s Birthday, this Chof Hei Adar, and of the Rebbe’s Birthday the coming Yud Alef Nissan, we should all greet them together with the greatest simcha of the Geulah HoAmitis V’HaShleima, in their ultimate PRESIDENTial home replanted in Eretz Yisroel!
As the Rebbe’s new Perek concludes, he will bring the Korban Todah, in the courtyards of Beis Hashem in Yerushalayim!

The Rebbe lived there until approximately 5716 (1956). The cars are from the early/mid 50s – after Tof Shin Yud.

Probably the rebbe was rebbe based on the fact that there is a group of kids watching the rebbe but we don’t know but it for sure makes sense and yes this was intentionally a picture of the rebbe.
Where was the picture found? By whom was it taken. Date? Was the Rebbe already Rebbe? Was it intentionally a picture of the Rebbe or was the Rebbe in it by Hashgoche Protis?
