Each year, 1000 Young Shluchim gather in Crown Heights for the annual Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim. They enjoy trips, shows, Farbrengens, delicious food, prizes, fun activities, a grand banquet, and a chance to spend invaluable time with fellow Shluchim from around the world.
“Thank you for giving my son an amazing experience at the kinus!” wrote one parent. “It was his first time and he had a great time beruchniyos and begashmiyos! When we were packing to go home he made sure I put away somewhere safe the Rebbe song sheet from Friday night, and when we came home was singing the nigunim to himself. I appreciate the Chassidisher experience you gave him and look forward to next years kinus!!”
With so many who work tirelessly on every detail to make it a success, the Shluchim Office, which organizes and sponsors the program, invited the Head Staff to an event this week to recognize and thank them for a job well done.
Enjoying a delicious buffet dinner, the Bochurim sat around the fire and shared inspiration from their experience.
“The impact the Kinus has for the children on Shlichus is well known, but to hear firsthand how much it means to them is heartwarming,” said Rabbi Berel Bendet who directs the program. “It was a pleasure to be able to share some of the many letters we received, full of appreciation and gratitude, with the head staff.”
Also joining the event and sharing words of inspiration was Rabbi Moshe Pinson, a parent of the Kinus program and someone whose care and work on behalf of the Shluchim’s children is well known.
A video of highlights from the grand banquet was shown for the first time, helping bring some of the joyous memories to life.
Culminating the evening was a special surprise. Each of the head staff was presented with a extraordinary gift, a beautiful picture of the Rebbe made of premium metal.
A special thank you goes to Rabbi Kasriel and Chana Shemtov for graciously hosting the extraordinary event.
Your incredible talents are absolutely amazing. Thank you for a job well done. Hatzlacha Raba in all you do!
