Yeshivas Kayitz Pretoria, now in its second summer, is a comprehensive program for Shiur Alef/ Bais/Gimmel Mesivta Bochurim, ages 15 -17. YKP is designed to maintain and even strengthen a high level of learning and Chassidishkeit.
We’ve worked hard to make this summer iy”h our best by adding incredible trips like the 4×4 Safari Tours at Kruger National Park, Scuba Diving at some of the world’s biggest and best diving sites, Lion Park and much more…We’ve also rehired: Rabbi Zalmy Kudan, of Training.MyGanIsrael.com to conduct extensive staff training.
New this year!
Rabbi Moshe Minsky will be joining the YKP family as on-site Executive Director. Moshe Minsky, the founder of Yeshiva Costa Rica, started in 5770 with only 16 bochurim has grown the program to over 50 bochurim. In 5776 the Yeshiva relocated to South Africa to become YKP. Rabbi Minsky brings over 7 years of experience and a proven track record in dealing with and inspiring yeshiva students.
YKP 5777 has once again raised the bar. We plan to cover a large portion of Maseches Rosh Hashanah with written and oral tests on content every 3 days. Each week there will be a reward for all who score well. At the end of the summer there will be a major trip for those who consistently learned and mastered the content. It will not be easy but the reward will definitely be worth it!

I ran a few programs the past few summers and I brang waiters in and they had a amazing summer, they learnt to be responsible, as well as to be a god role model which we all know makes us better ppl! So not all places are a asur , try to make sure your bo ends up with a good group of staff ! Like the one going to SGP this summer !
