Albert Sebbag, a 66-year old Jewish man, passed away this week in a remote section of Tanzania, Africa, which is neighboring Kenya.
The Shliach in Kenya, Rabbi Avraham Super, has been in touch with the Israeli embassy, local officials and the Israeli Chevra Kadisha, all of whom have been working tirelessly to ensure kavod hames and have already successfully prevented both an autopsy and embalming.
Albert’s daughter and son, who live in Israel, would like to have him buried in accordance with Halacha, however they do not have the financial means to do so.
The total cost to bring Mr. Sebbag to Israel, including all charges for transfers in Africa, transportation, the local funeral home, and burial is $16,000.
Rabbi Zvi Gluck from Amudim and ZAKA USA took upon himself to raise the funds needed. They are short thousands of dollars and the hospital morgue has no space, so today is the last day to come up with funds.
We ask you to join in this true chesed shel emes and help give Mr. Sebbag a proper Jewish burial.
