Hundreds turned out Sunday at Crown Drugs on Kingston Avenue, as residents of Crown Heights as well as other Brooklyn neighborhoods came to the pharmacy to sample renowned chef Levana Kirschenbaum’s new all-natural product line.
Despite the large number of people present, Levana made sure that there were plenty of delicious healthy shakes and soups for everyone.
“It is very important to include in our diet all-natural healthy food,” says Levana. “Unfortunately many foods and supplements available in stores today contain chemicals and synthetics which may cause harm to our health,” she says.
Many neighborhood residents who attended the event expressed their gratitude to Leah Dashevsky, Crown Drugs’ manager for organizing this event and inviting Levana to Crown Heights.
“We were happy to see a very positive response from the community,” says Leah Dashevsky. “While Levana was busy giving out samples and chatting with customers, our staff was barely keeping up with refilling the pharmacy shelves with the Levana’s Meal Replacement products as many customers were stocking up on all flavors taking advantage of the special sale.”
Another waste of money that convinces people (mostly women) that they are eating healthy and probably lose weight.
I weigh the same as I did at 20 and no it’s not my metabolism.
Eat everything in small quantities and exercise. Get creative with really good fruit and vegetables. Skip organic and just wash.
The product may be good but the wording is faulty.
Are we to stop drinking water and breathing air? Everything physical is composed of chemicals.
“Natural” and “ogranic” are marketing shtuss. The concept that everything synthetic is bad to consume is absurd. The deadliest poisons are from plants. A synthetic compound can be safer than it’s equivalent because it is consistently the same. Sometimes a carrot or celery is sweet and sometimes bitter, a tomato can be tasteless or very flavorful but a bottle of McX vanilla will always produce the same taste cookie.
