Two Menorahs set up by Chabad of Prospect Heights in Brooklyn were vandalized during the first few days of Chanukah.
Shliach Rabbi Mendy Hecht discovered on Tuesday that the branches of the Menorah were broken and the wires had been cut. One Menorah is located at the Park Slope Playground between 5th and 6th Avenues and the other at Underhill Playground.
It is believed the Menorahs were vandalized sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, when the damage was discovered.
Rabbi Mendy Hecht, Director of Chabad Jewish Center of Prospect Heights said, “The Menorah is a beautiful holiday symbol. I condemn this deeply offensive act. These incidents of hate have no place in our society, and is not in any way a reflection of Prospect Heights or Park Slope, which are wonderful neighborhoods.”
Chabad will be holding a Menorah lighting on Wednesday at 5pm with hot latkes and gifts for the children at Park Slope Playground between 5th and 6th Avenues.

Obama and his crew are to blame. He is truly the devil. I wish that all Jewish liberals who voted for him would have realized what they were doing. Did we forget already????? What happened to have NEVER FORGET and NEVER AGAIN?
Encouraged, no doubt, because of all the negative news from the media presenting Israel & Yidden in a negative light, especially after the actions of the Obama administration & UN recently!
