Reb Chaim Schneur Zalman Shur, one of the elder Chabad Chassidim in Montreal, passed away on Thursday, 4 Shvat, 5776.
He was 92.
He is survived by his children Rebbetzin Sheindel Chaikin – Cleveland, OH, Rabbi Fitche Shur – Crown Heights, his daughter-in-law Mrs. Hadassah Shur – London, Mrs. Alta Silberstein – Montreal, Rabbi Moshe Shur – Montreal, Mrs. Kreina Lepkivker – Crown Heights, Rabbi Yona Shur – Toronto, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Esther, in 2011 and son Berel of Jerusalem who passed away in 1993.
The Levaya will take place today, Thursday at 2:00 pm at Chesed Shel Emes, 935 Beaumont, Montreal.
