Kamin Health, a leader in today’s innovative health care solutions, has opened their latest urgent care center in the heart of Crown Heights.
Urgent Care, located on the corner of Lefferts and Kingston Avenues in Crown Heights, provides a modern solution for residents and visitors of the Brooklyn neighborhood for urgent and routine medical issues.
At their brand new state of the art 4500 square-foot facility, Crown Heights Urgent Care provides traditional offerings, as well as several specialty services that are not adequately available in this densely populated neighborhood. The building design, furnishings, and equipment are all selected to promote and aid in health and healing.
Aside from the array of unforeseen accidents and illnesses such as lacerations, sprained and broken bones, flu, migraines, allergic reactions, rashes, and blood infections, the walk-in center also provides a variety of well-patient services including physicals, insurance certifications, employment screenings, and vision testing for license renewal.
The center is run under the auspices of their medical director, Dr. Arthur Kornblit MD, who has close to 30 years of experience in Emergency Medicine as an ER Director and has served as an Assistant Director in 4 hospitals.
Their goal of opening the center in a central location was to accommodate the difficult work schedules of working men and women, family commitments and the ever present challenge of not having sufficient time. The facility, built out with the Kamin Health custom design colors, imported materials and spacious waiting and treatment areas help add luxury and tranquility not often found when seeking medical treatment.
The center offers individual care on a walk-in basis with little or no wait time. Their opening hours are 8:00 am – 10:00 pm on Monday through Friday, and 9:00am – 10:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, the facility is Shabbos friendly and they will accommodate the needs of Shabbos observers and will not require insurance cards to be presented, forms to be filled out or payments made until after Shabbos. Some starter medications are available on site in the event that the pharmacies are not open or accessible.
Crown Heights Urgent Care and its staff say they can provide a host of benefits above a typical Emergency Room when treating urgent, but non-life threatening conditions. They have a lab for onsite rapid testing can give results for many ailments within 5-10 minutes and they use advanced technology X-Ray machines.
With physicians who are focused on patient satisfaction, a facility designed for comfort, a unique children’s play area as well as a complimentary beverage station and coffee bar, the Crown Heights Urgent Care experience is far superior and more affordable than the Emergency room.
“We accept all major insurances,” they point out. “Our co-pays are less than hospital emergency room fees and we will work with you to process your insurance.”
