The Menachem Education Foundation has secured acclaimed mechaneches, Mrs. Henny Bartfield, to deliver an exciting six week, web-based course on Lesson Planning and Delivery. The course is the second in MEF’s yearlong educational series for Chabad women educators.
Specially designed by leading experts to give the Chabad mechaneches all the tools she needs to maximize her time in the classroom, the in-depth course will cover the gamut of how to successfully plan and execute a lesson plan with actionable learning objectives to optimize learning the classroom. The curriculum is founded in a new set of teaching standards that focuses on how to become a Chassidishe Mechanech, and enables teachers to reach every student.
Mrs. Chana Rose, coordinator of the series explains, “Our goal is to empower mechanchos to walk into their classrooms, feeling confident in their ability to deliver a lesson that inspires the students and delivers real results in learning.”
Open to all Chabad mechanchos, regardless of experience or teaching background, the six-week series will take place live in an interactive virtual classroom.
The curriculum focuses on setting clear learning objectives, designing effective learning activities, engaging students in meaningful and diverse ways and consistently assessing student comprehension to determine successful teaching.
Following a successful first course in the series on the topic of Classroom Management, this second course, on Lesson Planning and Delivery, will be facilitated by Mrs. Henny Bartfield, a Mechaneches who is legendary for her ability to engage students in meaningful ways.
Mrs. Bartfield was one of five finalists in the recent Chinuch Awards and is widely respected throughout the Chinuch world for her vast experience and creative approach to teaching. She has been in the classroom for over 26 years, holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and has taught Methodology in a Teacher’s Seminary in Florida.
As Shelley, a parent of a former student in Mrs. Bartfield’s class, explains, “Mrs. Bartfield teaches children how to think for themselves and makes the lessons of Torah personal and applicable anytime and anywhere. The critical thinking tools and creative way she presents the ‘same old’ concepts leave a lasting impression for life.”
The online course begins on Wednesday, December 7 from 8-10pm, and will continue for six consecutive weeks on Wednesday evenings. The cost of the individual course is $200. A minimum number of registered participants is required to confirm the course – register today! The deadline for registration is November 23.

Go Henny!! One of the most dedicated teachers I know!! Gives of herself unconditionally to her students year after year!! I remember many nights in my sister’s house, a house full of guests and yomtov to prepare but her lesson plans always took priority. Hebrew Academy of Coral Springs is truly lucky to have such a star!!!
