On Tuesday Rosh Chodesh Adar, grades 6-8 of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Montreal had a special surprise breakfast after Shachris. A guest speaker, veteran mechanach Rabbi Shmuel Rodal from Milan, Italy honored the event with an amazing story of the Rebbe and lessons for the Talmidim. The Talmidim were captivated by his dynamic personality and really enjoyed it.
On Wednesday afternoon, grades Pre 1A – Grade 3 had a major Hakhel gathering. It started with the twelve Pesukim, Tefilla and Tzedaka, followed by dancing and singing in the true sprit of chodesh Adar. The boys really enjoyed the chayusdike and leibedike spirit, dancing class by class. Before starting a famous Hakhel song, where all the kinderlach joined together in one big achdus circle.
Later in the evening, the scene was repeated for grades 4-8. This time fathers were invited to join with their sons, in the dancing. It did not take long until the boys were dancing away, competing to see which class was dancing the best.
It was amazing to see the fathers dancing side by side with their children in the true spirit of Hakhel. As one father was heard saying “What a beautiful event, bringing the community together.”
The event began with a talent show with some boys proudly displaying their talents. A live band led by Reb Avremel Zirkind, accompanied by Avraham Polichenco, and Talmidim, Zalmen Marosow and Shneur Zalmen Cohen livened up the evening.
Special thanks to Assistant Principal R’ Zalman Berkowitz for arranging these events.
