R’ Sholom is the brother of the current Rosh Yeshiva of Ponevezh R’ Berel Povarsky and son of former Rosh Yeshiva of Ponvezh R’ Dovid Povarsky z”l.It is well known fact that R’Dovid always you to say If not for Chabad Chasidiem who helped him in Russia in his younger years when he was on the run.He would have never been able to survive.
