On Thursday, the strains of singing permeated the hallways of the Shmuel Zahavy Cheder Chabad of Toronto, as talmidim entered the school building in honor of this auspicious day when Didan Notzach was declared for the seforim from the Previous Rebbe’s Library.
The boys in Kita Alef through Vov designed their own creative bookmarks to use as needed. This hands on activity helped them internalize the message the Rebbe conveyed, of buying seforim and increasing in learning from these seforim.
Everyone enjoyed doughnuts sponsored by the Kaushansky and Levit families.
The boys also watched footage from the original day of Hey Teves 29 years ago, of chassidim singing and dancing joyfully in and outside 770 when the news of Didan Notzach broke.
Rabbi Baruch Zaltzman expressed a special thank you to the rebbeim who have done such a fantastic job at infusing the boys with the spirit of this Yom Tov.
A special thank you also goes to Mrs. Antebi, Mrs. Kamman and Mrs. Szarfer for preparing the bookmark art activity.
Keep up pumping the chasiddishe chayus.
Rabbi Moshe Weinfeld keep up the great work
