Sitting in a meeting today, an ambulance’s familiar shriek pierced through the air. At first we ignored it… sirens are nothing new in the modern world. But after the third siren passed and the a fourth, we wondered what was going on. In less than two minutes we found out.
Another stabbing attack.
Location? Just around the corner.
With a “casual” warning that there is a terrorist wandering around the busy streets of Nachlaot with a knife, we are expected to carry on with our day to day life as usual. The dry facts of the various attacks, be it stoning, stabbing, or shootings can be found all over the news. Innocent individuals are being attacked, both children and adults, civilians, soldiers, military officials and security officers.
Terrorists are so named for inducing terror. Terror is defined as “an intense, sharp and overmastering fear.” That’s exactly what it is. Overmastering fear.
Taking over our daily lives, thoughts, and emotions. Worse than the anxiety, tension and fury that we feel, is the sense of powerlessness that many are experiencing.
But we are not powerless.
You can take an active role in protecting our people.
The Talmud states that charity is compared to a shield. Paralleling a shield made of many links, are the literal coins given to charity. Each coin helps to form a protective garment over those who give charity as well as those in whose merit it’s given for.
Join Chayal El Chayal in stopping the terror in Israel!
We are fighting the battle on a various fronts, here are a few ways to partner with us:
Donate a bottle of pepper spray for the many soldiers in uniform (an easy target) who are not allowed to take their weapons off base. ($43)
Donate a mezuzah to safeguard the home of a soldier ($45)
Donate a pair of Tefillin — described as a spiritual helmet to protect our soldiers.
Share our campaign so that we can reach more people and ultimately save more lives!

In short – for a chayal to take his gun off base, he must carry it with him or have it locked securely at all times. Thus, many chayalim bodedim aren’t able to take their guns with them off base, but still travel in uniform and are, therefore, pepper spray is actually a great idea!
Idf soldiers are the real tzaddikim
You mean every Jew? There are plenty of Israeli arabs..i agree with you. Any Jew who is competent to carry a gun should have one.
EVERY SINGLE ISRAELI MUST CARRY A GUN on him or her at all times, if you see a suspicious looking arab have your finger on the trigger and if he makes a funny move SHOOT TO KILL!!!! Don’t wait for the police to come and arrest him and treat him in our hospitals so that he can be cured to go out and try again
Please help too!
