This year marks 13 years since Chabad Beijing opened its doors. Many celebrations have occurred throughout the year to commemorate this milestone.
Thursday night, they celebrated the occasion at a spectacular location in Jerusalem, Israel, overlooking the Migdal David landmark near the Old City and Western Wall.
New friends and old, supporters and guests, mingled to express appreciation to Chabad of Beijing’s Shluchim Rabbi Shimon and Dini Freundlich.
“The event was attended by an uncommonly united group of frum, not yet frum, Chabadniks, Chassidishe, Chinese, Sephardim, Ashkenazim, Yekes, Litvaks and everyone in between – all celebrating together,” said Shlucha Dini Freundlich.
This is a tribute to the Rebbe, who is the reason for the event’s atmosphere of harmony between all types of Jews, Freundlich said.
“All these people, who were here to commemorate 13 years of Chabad of Beijing, were connected by one individual – the Rebbe,” she said. “An individual that they never met. An individual that thought about them and their well being. An individual that is no longer here physically, but whose legacy lives on forever.”
Yasher Koach Rabbi & Rebbetzin Freundlich!
Keep up the great work!
