After five weeks and ten rounds of intense chess games, Kan Tziva Chess Champs held a Grand Chess Tournament, and the winners of each division were presented with awards.
All participants received a prize for their effort.
We are always delighted to receive positive feedback. Here’s what some parents have to say about Kan Tziva Chess Champs:
“The Chess club has been an unbelievable healthy, entertaining, growing outlet for Menachem. It is something he looks forward to all week. He is able to be competitive in a positive environment. Winning the tournament made him feel on top of the world. His self esteem got a boost it really needed. I know he will remember and cherish those feelings forever.”
– H. Chanina
“The inspiration and the art of playing chess is a gift that will inspire and empower your children for the rest of their life! I can’t thank you enough!”
– A Parent
“My son really loves the chess club! I find that since he started he is more focused and can focus better in certain areas in school!”
– R. L. Jaffe
“B”H my kids really love the chess club and they look forward to it every week! When I asked them if they enjoyed it, they said a big unified YES!! My younger son said it makes him feel amazing and older. I’m so happy they have such a positive outlet right here in Crown Heights!” – C. Namdar
“Avrohom loves the chess club and looks forward to going each week! It enhances his skills at chess and his general concentration!”
– D.L. Chein
“The high level training that this club is giving my son is helping him learn Mishnayos and Gemara better as it develops his critical thinking and options to make the next move! You created a beautiful environment where the boys can compete, yet be friends and show each other true Ahavas Yisroel in a Chassidishe setting! Many other parents should consider sending their boys to this club that will enhance their Middos as well as their Kop. Thank you!”
-Rabbi A. Berkowitz

Yes! We do provide private chess lessons for the discounted fee of $25 a lesson, though it’s not done in the time of the chess club (you would have to make up a good time that works for you and your trainer).
Iy”h we are thinking of opening a chess club for girls as well if we have enough girls interested!
If you are interested or know anyone else that may be, please let us know by email: ktchesschamps@gmail.com

Thank you Chaim. From the pictures, it looks like the club members are, Baruch Hashem, not only choosing to unwind in a most positive and constructive manner, but are actually enjoying themselves and each others’ company as well. I’ll bet playing chess sharpens your minds in the classroom as well.
Leibel B., we’re so proud of your award!
Menachem Chanina at first place! Great job!
Now I know who not to play chess against…
I spy a little genius!:)
What a great way for kids to spend their free time!!
Chaim, keep up the good work with running the older kids program for The Shul and thank you for everything you are doing.
I’m so incredibly impressed by this wonderful, well organized, motivating club.
May it be with continued mazal and hatzlacha!
Does the club also provide private chess lessons?
