The new Mesivta Ohr Temimim of Toronto will open for its first day of learning on Monday Tes Elul – August 24th, under the direction of Rabbi Eliezer Posner and Rabbi Dovid Bisk.
With a caring and experienced team of mechanchim, to motivate and guide each talmid, the Mesivta is ready to provide the bochurim with an authentic chasiddishe environment, a genuine hiskashrus to the Rebbe, and the inspiration to develop proper Yiras Shomayim and good Middos.
Ohr Temimim’s stated mission is “To create a happy and stimulating Chasiddishe environment that will nurture our young bochurim and offer each of them an equal opportunity to develop their unique abilities and personalities in a safe and secure environment. We aspire to infuse our bochurim with a joy for studying Nigleh and Chasiddus, with a focus on Avoda She’bLev – zu Tefila.”
We offer a comprehensive Kodesh curriculum, in keeping with the expectations of mainstream Lubavitch mesivtas. In addition, we will harness the safe use of technology to provide an optimal Torah learning environment. Our shluchim will provide opportunities for an accelerated Torah learning program. The Mesivta recognizes the importance of a healthy physical outlet and will also provide additional extra-curricular activities – swim, gym, professional chess coaching and music lessons.
“A unique feature of the Mesivta will be the individual learning experience that we are creating for each bochur,” the school’s founder Rabbi Baruch Zaltzman explained. “In the latter part of the afternoon, we allow parents and talmidim to choose from several subjects including accredited general studies modules, which will lead to a recognized diploma. The general studies have been developed in accordance with the Rebbe’s hadracha on “limudim sh’einam chol.” (See sicha 13th of Tammuz 5742.)
The Mesivta’s spacious learning facility includes a beautiful Beis Medrash, a Mikva on premises, with beautiful surrounding parks. A well-equipped dormitory with eight bedrooms, newly renovated 4 washrooms and showers, with a large living-room area for the boys to relax after a full day of learning, will provide our talmidim with the proper gashmiyus as well, so they turn it into ruchniyus.

Hatzlocha rabba
Nice to see flamingo Chabad using its beautiful facility for Lubavitcher chinch. Rabbi Kaplan can really become a figure in the yeshiva on a daily basis
Any student who has Rabbi Eliezer Posner add his maggid shiur is guaranteed to have an amazing year, he is la creme de la creme. I hope they use out his potential.
If the yeshiva is everything it promises I will sends eighth grader next year. Hatzlocha!!
Please let us not say the “best” bochurim. All of our children are precious. I hope they accept the students they feel will most benefit from their particular derech of limud. And may there be many more mosdos, led by informed, caring and capable mechanchim, to help educate and raise up all of our children, al pi darkam, each according to his needs.
I understand the need for many good bochurim to have something positive to be busy with after their shuirim are done at the end of a long day. But who is teaching it?
Lubavitch needs more facilities for those that require secular studies.
Lucky is the bochur who gets into this mesivta. I am an outsider, but I know they have the best hanholah, the very best shluchim and are only accepting the best bochurim with the greatest of potential!!
Looks like a beautiful environment for bochurim to flourish. Kol Hakavod!
Is this in Chabad gate?
Chabad of Flamingo, Rabbi Kaplans shul.
Much success.
