Crown Heights’ star female performers are joining together on the 2nd night of Chanukah, Chof Hey Kislev (Wednesday, December 17th) to create an elegant, exclusive concert in support of the Crown Heights Levi Yitzchok Library.
In line with the library’s vision to nurture community creativity, the intimate, 100-seater Gala Concert, hosted in the library itself, will engage women and girls in the deep and rich experience of Jewish music at its best.
With a steaming beverage and gourmet treats in hand, attendees can look forward to a bright ‘Night of Lights’ featuring classically trained soprano Chava Shapiro, presenting a treat of Yiddishe favorites; celebrated songstress Esther Freeman and her empowering hit-music; Bulletproof Stockings offering a veritable feast for the soul with their acoustic special feature titled ‘Niggunim Unplugged’.
The star line-up continues with Sheina Mushka Einstein on the guitar and drums; Californian-born artist Riv Eilfort playing her resonating, soulful originals; pianist/composer Sarah Dukes and soothing, melodic piano arrangements. The captivating Shoshana Michel will play her enchanting niggunim on the piano; and newcomer to America Liat Rorick will serenade us with song and guitar in her unique Israeli style.
