Summer is a time when we all talk about safety. Here’s what you can do to keep safe this summer!
Due to popular demand, and building on the resounding success of last year’s “project EDEN – eat ice cream and defend Eretz Yisroel and am Yisroel now”, this year “project EDEN” is back.
The project is being run with the participation of local Crown Heights day camps as well as camps in the mountains.
The Rebbe spoke many times about tznius as our protection.
As it is written in the Torah:
כי ה’ אלקיך מתהלך בקרב מחניך להצילך ולתת אויבך לפניך והיה מחניך קדוש ולא יראה בך ערות דבר
-דברים כג: טו
Now, in the Three Weeks, and in light of the recent tragedies r”l, project EDEN is one step we can take for the safety of Klal Yisroel in Eretz Yisrael and around the world.

לעלוי נשמת הרב יקותיא-ל מנחם ע”ה בן יבדל”א ר’ שרגא ראפ
Who, a few days before his tragic passing, spoke strongly about the urgency to do something to improve the Tznius in our neighborhood, connecting it to safety.
You can’t tell a girl “be tzniusdik” without explaining WHAT tznius is. Here at least the little girls will learn that shoulders elbows, knees and toes need to be covered. They will see and realize what is, and what is not, proper dress for a precious Jewish child. I just feel sad for the little girl who goes home and begs her mommy to buy her a kosher skirt that covers her knees, and her mommy will say, “no, we don’t believe in that mitzvah. There’s nothing wrong with exposing your knees” Ouch. Dear little girl, I hope your mommy… Read more »
keep it for the winter too please
This sin is dependent on her, even if this was not her intention, and she is not aware of it, but she is in the realm of מחטיא את הרבים (“causing others to sin”), where it is not in one’s hands to do tshuva (רמבם הלכות תשובה פ”ד ה”א), since the many that sin because of him [or her, in this situation] do not do tshuva.
This point needs to be emphasized when explaining the matter of tznius.
(R’ Hodakov, the Rebbe’s Secretary, החנוך והמחנך, עמ’49, להמזכיר הרב חודוקוב ע”ה)
Tsnius Horaah of the Day: The matter of the “opposite of tznius” is not only “the opposite of Torah,”, it is also the “opposite of the straight [righteous] path”! The whole matter of the opposite of tznius is to entice. A person sees something that should be covered, and it is seen out in the open, and this awakens the yetzer hara. It does not arouse a person’s mind to make him into a great chochom, it won’t motivate him to have more derech eretz… it’s not that through this he will give more tzedakah… .[When a person is dressed… Read more »
Tsnius Horaah of the Day: The matter of tznius is not only applicable to women, as some people think … but rather, it exists also for men, as is the law brought down in the Shulchan Aruch that for men there is also the matter of tznius. This matter needs to be emphasized, especially in the summer, since, when the summer arrives, and a Lubavitcher travels to a vacation spot, and once there, he wears pants “from the waist until the calves” (shorts), and that’s all, exactly as is written about regarding the kohanim (Tetzaveh 28:42)! And, as it seems,… Read more »
Because someone is not dressing Tsnius , you dont tell a person to find a different neighborhood to live in, you dont own the neighborhood, and nobody is trying to embarass anyone, not every yid that lives in Crown Heights is Labavitch

This what the Rebbe meant about Boruch Habo Melech Hamoshiach. If Moshiach arrives at our door and we are dressed correctly we say to Moshiach Boruch Habo come right in we are ready to go with you to Eretz Yisroel.
If Chas V’sholom we are not dressed correctly then we have to keep Moshiach waiting at on the doorstep until one get’s changed!
We all understand that is not an option so let’s get into action immediately and dress correctly in a Tzinius way Right Now
So very proud of Malka’le and all our eineklach – going according to their parents’ way B”H in the derech of the Rebbe!
We should introduce incentives like this for adults. Maybe then, they will stop talking or using their phones during davening. Bring on the ice cream!
Rabbi Jacobs Well said!!!
We Want Moschiah Now!
Beautiful idea
It preserves families and ensures good shiduchim and protects our kids and brings the shecina upon our homes and us bringing all the blessings we need
Thank you for doing! And thank you for the awareness! Thank you Rabbi Jacobs for your powerful words! And thank you to every individual who walks down our streets in a respectable looking and dignified manner!! We need more and more of this!! Moshiach now!
Kol Hakovod!
Thanks for helping all of us Crown Heightsers who are struggling with the untznius in our neighborhood.
Klal Yisroel needs all the brochos and as the Rebbe said “Tznius allows for the brochos to take effect; gezunt, parnussah and nachas for generations.”
Increasing kedusa!
I woukd love some ice cream!
you are saving all if us and giving back crown heights its good name.
Excellent! but as the Rebbe always says not speaking but ACTION is needed and that no one wants to do. its so sad…may Hashem be with all his children, who just need a shoulder to cry on and a hug that someone is THERE FOR THEM, then they’ll go back and do what Hashem wants from them…
I fully encourage and endorse this most important campaign.
No greater channel to bring brochos to all the family and avoid tragedy than to ‘Cover Up’. We as chassisidim of the Rebbe must set the example to the world.
We all believe Moshiach is coming any moment so let us make sure all dresses cover the knee when seated and cover up elsewhere too. How embarassed one would be if Moshiac h cam and one had to run home to get changed!!!??
So excited about this! May this bring the ultimate geula immediatement!!!
a very prominent dr. said that the
reason the girls go around not dressed modestly is because they have no self esteem-very unhappy with themselves! solution= parents, make your children happy! husbands=treat your wives with dignity and make them happy!hurray!
I sure hope it works!those who HAVE to walk not tzniusdik, please find a different neighborhood DON’T EMBARASS US!!! Respect OUR neighborhood!!!!
They should do it with all around the world not just crown heights for the shluchim’s kids with pictures!
May this bring all the Brochos!!
Now let’s see some young marrieds with ice cream in their hands 🙂
about time, it was actually starting 2 get ridiculous
