Kislev 9, marks the Birth and Passing of Rabbi DovBer of Lubavitch, son of and successor to the founder of Chabad Chassidism, Rabbi Schneur Zalman·of Liadi.
Just one day later, the 10th of Kislev marks the anniversary of his liberation from Russian imprisonment. He was imprisoned for the “crime” of spreading Judaism, in defiance of the anti-semitic government at the time.
The words of the Nigun sung in this clip are a poignant testament to the trust that we place in the Eternal and the certainty of His salvation.
