Kan Tziva Chess Champs ran an exhilarating program on “Nittel nacht,” featuring esteemed Chess International Master Yaacov Norowitz – one of the best blitz players in the world.
First, Yaacov played in a simultaneous exhibition against 28 boys. He won all his games, although in some games he had to exercise even greater skill. A special prize was awarded to the last three remaining players.
Next, Yaacov took on an additionally risky challenge KTCC had prepared just for him: playing three advanced adult players with a timer! Amazingly, it appeared that time would not be an issue; Yaacov spent less than three minutes, calmly beating all three players. The very same occurred when the challenge was presented with three new players.
Following an extraordinarily successful evening of game-winning, Yaacov was brought to 770 where he proceeded to (obviously!) win every game as well.
