…to love the Rebbe….!

WAKE UP TIME
January 30, 2013 11:41 am

Number 7, wake up and smell the coffee. NO ONE would look at these people with derision, just because they don’t look the part. It’s a known fact that EVERYONE comes to the Rebbe because it’s just as well known that he cares for EVERYONE! I personally know some African Americans who are absolutely NOT Jewish and yet LIVE with the Rebbe’s brochos and advice. TODAY! As a matter of fact some have had amazing miracles through brochos from the Rebbe NOW.

Anyone can go to the ohel
January 29, 2013 6:31 pm

they don’ have to be Jewish

very right
January 29, 2013 6:30 pm

the rebbe never bashed or said thats wierd about a person who came to 770 and got yechidus or just saw the rebbe so why say this is ironic the rebbe loved all people and we should too

helen

I agree with 18 what is the big deal of someone of another skin color comming to the ohel, if she is jewish or not it should not matter at all, that someone had to take a picture of it and put it on collive.

why is this is a big deal?
January 29, 2013 4:47 pm

if they are jewish, well lots of Jews come to the ohel.
IF they are not Jewish, is this the first time goyim have come to the ohel?
I don’t get the big deal over the fact they are African American.

To everyone belittling this :
January 29, 2013 4:27 pm

I don’t understand why this is coming across as such a big deal. Many goyim visit the Ohel regularly, and just because here we have an instance where evidently a bochur found it interesting enough to take a picture of it and post it on COL doesn’t make it a topic of public banter. I think we should respect everyone, and that includes those who wish to visit the Nosi Hador’s Ohel, regardless of race, religion, ect.

u never no

weird comment. is that the only thing u go to the ohel for???

madreiga
January 29, 2013 2:39 pm

we should learn from their sincerity and sense of searchingfor real blessings.
they are obviously sensitive and spiritual people, who are humbly coming to a spiritual place, though they surely are aware that they will be at best a curiosity and maybe even looked at with derision.
I am touched by their awareness of a higher “need”.If only I could feel a need for spiritual elevation like that, and not just a sense of “azoi tut men”

A simple jew

January 29, 2013 2:32 pm

they look a little bit older than your average age shidduch. lol, im sure that they came for a good reason, and hopefully they had a good experience.

Saw them there.
January 29, 2013 2:26 pm

I was at the ohel today and saw them as they came out –putting tzedaka into the pushka outside the ohel. Was tempted to begin a conversation but they seemed engrossed in thought.

when is the lechaim?
January 29, 2013 1:58 pm

are they getting engaged?

Brings to mind,
January 29, 2013 1:53 pm

The Gemoroah in Rosh Hashanah and in other places, “keivan deNasi hu shkechi rabim gabay” (beabause hes the Nasi many are by him”, or if thats not enough there is a posuk in yeshyeh that states explicitly “venaru alove kol hagoyim”, (“and all the nations shall gather around him”)

Beautiful
