Children from Milwaukee, Mequon, Madison, and Kenosha joined together Tuesday at a Gimmel Tammuz farbregen at the Shul East, Milwaukee, WI.
Led by Rebbetzin Leah Emmer, pesukim were shouted with enthusiasm, starting with the very youngest members, tzadakah was given, and then all settled in for a short Rebbe video and story. After a cheerful l’chaim, the group gathered for dancing and signing of niggunim.
When all were fed with a delicious mac ‘n cheese seuda, participants came back together to start a collaborative art project reflecting the hachlatas the children made.
Mitzvahs such as ahavas yisroel, learning Tanya, thanking our teachers, taking care of animals, making brochas on tzitzis, and reading a book to a younger sibling, among others, will be taken on with joy and incorporated into a collage that will be displayed in the Shul.
