Over 400 high school girls from nearly 20 schools around the world, including Australia, London, Montreal, Toronto, Pittsburgh and Chicago, will converge on Crown Heights during Chof Beis Shvat weeked for the annual Inter-School convention.
Hosted by Bais Rivkah School of Crown Heights and coordinated by Naomi Touger and Shoshi Hecht, the convention will bring 10th and 12th grade girls together for workshops, speakers and events.
“The theme of this year’s convention is ‘We can, I must,'” Touger told COLlive.com. “Focusing on how each and every one of us has an obligation and the kochos to do our Shlichus.”
The organizing committee has planned a great lineup of speakers for the program, including Rabbi Shmuel Rothman – Shliach in Pittsburgh, PA, Mrs. Malka Touger of Jerusalem, Shlucha Leah Namdar of Sweden, Shlucha Yehudis Bluming of North Carolina and author Rabbi Shais Taub.
Highlights of the program include a Friday night meal, Melava Malka and grand Banquet Sunday evening at Bais Rivka Campus Chomesh.
Touger invites any school that has not as of yet registered to join to call (347) 413-4943. Students of grades 10 and 12 are welcome.
why isnt chicago part of this?????????
wowow!!! its seriously incredible program!!
GO ARIELLA ANR BROCHIEEE AND CHAYA WE ROCKKK GO LA!!!!!!
Aaaah miss u nomi! Come back to england camp!
It should be the ninth and twelfth grades. Tenth and eleventh can be counselors at the Kinus, but ninth graders have nothing to do besides waitress.
WAHHHOOOOOOOOOO
GO BAIS CHANA LA WE ROCK YAHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know in my kids school, they only allow kids who have achieved a certain number of points in “Achos Hatemimim”.
If girls are missing a bit of chayus and are not involved in the program, they shut them out completely of the NY program, which just about ensures that the lack of chayus will continue on and on.
So, while this is a beautiful thing, many principals are excluding otherwise very good girls with amazing chasidishe potential, which is really quite a shame.
Go BAIS CHANA girls!
sure its not random why cant we go also?!?!??!?!?! What abt 9th and 10th grades???
go LA
shaina , rochie , miri,mushkie chaya , ariella , brocha!!
Can’t wait!!! It’s so nice how everything this year was very organized and communication with convention heads was so pleasant and helpful!
Thank you!
wow
its really an amazing program this yr!
such a apleasure to work with Beis Rivkah!!!!
its not random, its because twelfth grade is leaving next year, eleventh had a chance in ninth grade and they will again next year, but tenth didn’t have a chance yet. Ninth will have next year but if you had this year, you would have twice while tenth would have once. This way, everyone has two chances. See????
can’t wait!!!
its gonna be amazing for sure!!
so excited!
they just go and exclude US! dont 9th graders count too!! especially since its our irst yr in hs, how much more so.. it shud b the ungest and oldest… 10 and 12 is way too random!! 🙁
