This past Thursday, Jewish.TV celebrated its 10,000th user of its specialized video app on iPhones, iPads and Android devices.
The app was first released in the summer of 2012 to a select group of beta testers and was continuously upgraded based on user feedback. Additional features were continuously added like support for live broadcasts, intelligent searching, and top picks were most recently added. As word got around, the downloads – and rave reviews – kept on coming.
“I used this app twice today–once on the way to synagogue, and once on the way back. It’s fantastic!’ wrote one user, while another wrote “This is the best Jewish app yet! I also have the same app on my iPad. I have learned more than I could have ever imagined. My fav video is one on the making of Challah, I made this on New Years day, and had a blast, awesome app!”
Rabbi Dov Dukes, who led the development of this app wasn’t surprised. The app brings the experience of Jewish.TV, the premiere Jewish video site, and makes it available to everyone, everywhere. “We have invested countless hours in perfecting the app, adding technology that would make it easier to browse and watch, wherever you are.”
This milestone for Jewish.TV comes just as JEM announced the launch of their impressive new app, making their massive archive of treasured videos of the Rebbe’s even more readily available.
Of the over 9,000 videos accessible on Jewish.TV, over 2,500 are already accessible on the app. That may be an impressive number, but the number will keep growing, says Rabbi Shmuel Lifshitz from the Jewish.TV team. “More videos are prepared and readied for the Chabad.org mobile platform every day.” He added, “our goal is to provide every Jew with easy access to the thousands of educational and inspirational Torah and mitzvos videos.”
Now, they are 10,000 people closer to their goal.

Now, there an opportunity for devloppers to build a double applications
A. For Windows 8
B. For Windows phone
Why did they forgot such a simple thing ?
I like so many other go onto Rabbi Gordon’s Chumash, Tanya and Rambam shirurim on this wonderful app. I was bothered by the fact that of all the videos and articles CHABAD.ORG chose to highlight and post pictures of, Rabbi Gordon’s shiurim have been TOTALLY omitted from this article.
ill bet u on that!
Update the app. You may be using an old version.
totally AMAZING. love that it’s free 🙂
I have this on my Ipad and it is a confusing and disorganized interface. Great content when you can find it.
Check out their shabbat times and parshas hashavua app, available both for apple and androids.
A special thank you to all of their staff who made this happen, though its about time, if im not mistaken this is their first app, after about of decade of PDAs and other devices which use apps. I hope their will provide a good calendar app with all the wonderfull features of their online calendar. Finnaly some use of MORE modern technoalgy then a website (albeit the largest jewish website)
this article is great news for all ipad holders, as all know, apple (mostly) don’t support viewing these files for-in direct use such as by website, email etc. on this devices
*Warning*
It may cause the way you think to be more refined and lead to a change in the way you behave. These guys aren’t after your money they want to change your whole life!

I have a lot of respect to them as they operate a HUGE org. without charging. I don’t know how they get the videos but I am sure it cost a lot of money!
I give them a monthly donation of $10. It’s not a lot but I do my part
Wow! What’s the catch?
Only thing to make it better would be if able to see some without wifi
THANK YOU Chabad.org.
Have been using this on my commute each day.
