The RCCS 4th Women’s Health Seminar, “What Every Woman – of every age – Must Know” is being held this upcoming Wednesday evening in Crown Heights.
The event, organized by the RCCS organization, which pays the astronomical insurance costs patients with cancer must pay for treatment, literally saves lives, Mrs. Bella Rubashkin told COLlive.
Mrs. Bella Rubashkin, who heads the RCCS Crown Heights Women’s committee, organized the first “Prevention” Health Seminar in November of 2006.
The event was a huge success, with 750 women in attendance. “The biggest proof of its success,” says Rubashkin, “is that the doctors told us afterwards, many women made appointments. It generated a flurry of activity.”
The same was true of the following 2 seminars.
This year’s seminar is being held this upcoming Wednesday evening, May 16th, at Razag Hall from 7:30-9:30pm.
For those that would like to meet the doctors, they will have the opportunity from 7:30-8:00pm. There will be free admission, free valet parking, and light refreshments will be served.
The doctors will deliver very informative presentations.
Rabbi Moshe Klein, Chairman of the RCCS Crown Heights Applications Committee – which he does amidst his busy careers as sofer and Mohel – will speak on behalf of the RCCS organization.
In addition, Mrs. Tzippy Caton, a “Thriver” and author of “Miracle Ride”, will share her story of “finding humor in a tumor” – a story of Illness, Faith, Humor, and Triumph.
Knowledge is the first step in prevention.
COME AND BRING SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT.
what is this going to be about, what type of forum, what topics? its important you write the topics, because its very hard for many of us to come out at night, so it would be prudent you let us know!!!
is there anyway we can have a summary of the speakers?
