SUNY Downstate Medical Center held a Menorah lighting celebration with hospital officials, organized by Hospital Chaplain Rabbi Yitzchok Holtzman.
Over 300 people gathered for the lighting of the Menorah by Rabbi Holtzman, who was joined by State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli.
NY State Senator Eric Adams addressed the crowd as well.
Up and coming singer Yoni Zigelboum sang Haneiros Halalu and other Chanukah songs, as well as niggunim, and was accompanied by live music. He was joined by his father Motti Zigelboum.
Participants were also treated to hot latkes and doughnuts.
