Siyum at Rambam’s Kever

Yeshiva Chabad Chulon, headed by Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Feldman, celebrated the finishing of the 31st cycle of learning Rambam.

They had a beautiful Melava Malka, joined by the Hanhola and Shluchim at the Kever of the Rambam in Teveria. The bochurim sang various niggunim in the Motzei Shabbos spirit. The bochurim heard words spoken by the esteemed mashpia Rabbi Chaim Leib Zaks and from the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Feldman. The Siyum was made by Hatomim Zevi Feldman, who tirelessly works to make the various Siyumim throughout the cycle, as each sefer of Rambam is concluded.

The Bochurim had spent Shabbos in the North of Eretz Yisroel, in the vacationing village of Achziv. They were treated to a beautiful shabbaton where they slept in chalets, enjoyed delicious food, and participated in various activities. The Shabbaton was a beautiful weekend spent in unison, achdus, and a spiritually uplifting Shabbos for all the bochurim.

The bochurim woke-up early on Friday morning to travel the three hour distance from the center of Israel to their resort. When they arrived, the Bochurim, devoted Shluchim, and the Hanhola, went on a mountain jeeping tour of the wonders of nature in the area. Friday night, there was a beautiful seder niggunim, followed by a Maamer by Hatomim Mendel Duchman.

The Bochurim listened intently until late into the night, to a geshmake farbrengen from Rabbi Zaks. Rabbi Zaks spoke about what Chof Beis Shevat, the yartzeit of the Rebbetzin, means to a bochur in our day and age.

He mentioned how the Rebbetzin and the Rebbe were one entity, and a bochur must feel that where ever he is the Rebbe and his chassidim are one thing. A chossid must be completely “Ibergegeben (given over)” to the Rebbe. As the sun began to set, everyone walked to the shore and sang inspirational chassdishe niggunim as they watched the waves rise.

Motzei Shabbos the Bochurim boarded the bus, to make the the Siyum Harambam by the kever of the Rambam in Teveria. All in all, the bochurim enjoyed every minute of their Shabbos.

The Shabbaton was fully arranged, by the Menahal Gashmi Rabbi Eli Mamon. The delicious food was prepared by the Yeshiva cook, Mrs. Shoshana Malka, who works tirelessly for the needs of the bochurim. The bochurim spared no words of thanks, and expressed their immense appreciation. A special thanks goes to Hatomim Dovid Fainzilber for his hard work in making the shabbaton a success.
