The tradition of taking a family photo of participants of the annual Kinus Hashluchim convention began 28 years ago when the group was less then 30 rabbis.
Today, some 3,000 Shluchim pile up and squeeze to get into the frame in front of Lubavitch World Headquarters, blocking off part of Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights for more than an hour.
Trying to document the scene in an original and most advanced way, Lipa Stauber from the haredi Israeli website bhol.co.il took a panoramic photo using the website GigaPan.
The photo he produced and posted on the web allows you to zoom up to faces and even tag people you might know.
