To celebrate Chanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, Chabad at Stony Brook spent the evening enjoying comedy and sushi on Dec. 12 at the Holiday Inn Express in Stony Brook.
Shluchim Rabbi Motti and Chaya Grossbaum treated a packed hall of supporters and community members to a lavish spread of sushi, soups, salads and more, a hilarious performance by comedian Joel Chasnoff and an overall evening of inspiration.
They were joined and addressed by Suffolk County Legislator of the 5th district, Kara Hahn.
Stony Brook University professor Bill Weisner and Port Jefferson resident Dr. Haim Misholy were honored with lighting the menorah.
