This past Sunday, July 10 in Cheshire CT, Chabad hosted its second annual Chabad at UConn Alumni Reunion.
Thirty alumni and friends gathered at the residence of Cara Platt (’08) to enjoy wine, sushi and a delicious buffet dinner.
Gifts were presented to six UConn alumni couples who were honored at the event.
“Mazal Tov to our newlywed couples who are being honored as we proudly recognize their paramount choice of a Jewish marriage and building a Jewish home,” says Rabbi Shlomo Hecht, Director of Chabad at UConn.
Dori Arad, Israeli UConn soccer player spoke words from the heart. “Ever since Chabad ‘found’ me, you’ve been my family and I know that everyone that steps in your door and enters your house feels the same.”
