where in NM?

Cute!
January 25, 2011 10:14 pm

Someone should write them a letter on behalf of the Jewish community thanking thrm for their accurate inturpretation of us, because, yeah, thats how we dance. 😀

interesting 28
January 25, 2011 4:53 pm

Ya, It’s ineteresting why none of their yarmulkahs fell off. They did a very good job keeping them on. Its true that ppl who arent very accustomed to wearing them, usually drop it often -especially while dancing!

DO WE DANCE LIKE THAT??
January 25, 2011 12:05 am

trying to imitate chasidic dancing??? thts not the way we dance 🙂 im glad they think its an insult!!!

????????
January 24, 2011 3:31 pm

stupid-wats the point?!?!?!

to 22
January 24, 2011 2:20 pm

eehhhhh….dunno if u call that a dance… but we dance wayyyyy better!!!

Really? Exploits?
January 24, 2011 11:32 am

Ummm, in Gan Izzys whenever we have international day and the bunks perform skits from other countries, is it “exploiting” to use music from that culture? Not really… it really doesn’t seem like this was done maliciously, but probably in a similar way to showing another culture (whether they build that off stereotypes or not is a different discussion–bc we do the same thing)

what goes around comes around
January 24, 2011 11:19 am

I think this is one of the funnies clips ive seen in a while.

Why are you so upset?

1 – They are coping Russian dancing and culture as we in the USA do.

2 – How does this differ from how perform all our players/skit at CGI’s. When our kids dress up as Kossacks, or when we mock other goiyshe societies…

what goes around comes around.

Did you mean “Jews for Yoshke” (not Jews for Judaism)?

Moshiach Tzeitan??!!
January 24, 2011 10:38 am

Is this what it’s going to be like when Moshiach comes??

You guys are a little confused....
January 24, 2011 10:36 am

ok….lots of churches use jewish themes and respect them very much. this happenes to be a hispanic church. for all of you that dont know about the hispanic people, they are very into culture and learning about different religions. in my opinion, they are doing it very respectful- the girls are wearing a tradititonal dress that they wear to the fiesta every year or cinco de mayo. but, its a little weird to hear a niggun being played in church,,

lol
January 24, 2011 10:05 am

haha! sure it’s not hebrew school?

hey
January 24, 2011 10:04 am

i liike how they say “hey”

Klipa take over
January 24, 2011 10:01 am

I believe that while the song is holy and special, it is “klipa” who singing/dancing adding their own “halle….” etc.

I don’t think it would be appropriate to have the entire clip play here, and us watching “church kids” singing and dancing, even if they are mimicking a Jewish song.

It is the powers of klipa attaching themselves to kedusha and we must be wary!

AMAZING
January 24, 2011 10:01 am

I THINK THIS IS GREAT.

No shame
January 24, 2011 9:56 am

Gan Yisrael (any location)

No shame,
Today the kids in Gan Israel performed a play depciting a child being led by the communist to jail.

The chutzpah
1. they are are not real communists
2. It was in the the catskills not even in real Russia,
3. There is no communisim today
4. they were bad actors
5. they aren’t even real actors
6. THEY ARE EXPLOITING communism and commuist ideas for their own purposes
7. they didn’t give any royalties

now can anyone find a more sensational headline to this terrible news?

"...Exploits..."?
January 24, 2011 9:55 am

1. Shouldn’t perhaps the headline have read Church Pays Tribute…? Among society at large, when one musical group does a cover of another’s songs, it is considered giving honor and praise, not exploitation. 2. More importantly, these are Bnai Noach (knowingly or unknowingly) reaching out to us. Is anybody reaching back re: Sheva Mitsvos, etc.? 3. Most importantly, the ‘einiklach’ of the people that brought us 2,000 years of crusades, inquisitions, ‘tach v’tat’, etc., are now singing Tzomoh? If this is not ‘moshiach’s tzeiten’ I don’t know what is. As an historical aside, it is fascinating to learn about the… Read more »

descendant of hidden jews
January 24, 2011 9:49 am

l once was at a bungalow colony where the man told us a story about his brother was visiting new mexico and happened to walk close enough to people leaving a church and they were saying shema yisreal,he was stunned,he ask them why they say this and they said that this is what they were taught when they leave the church. wow,do you realized how many of these people are descendant of jews!

Moshiach's Tzeit'n
January 24, 2011 9:43 am

you know Moshiach can’t be far off when Mexicans choose “tzomo lch’o” to dance to. They might as well get used to this type of music now, cuz when moshiach comes that’s what the world will sing! (P.S. Watching that chubby boy dance made me laugh so hard, that all my cold and flu symptoms have drastically improved. Simcha Poiretz Geder!)

wow
January 24, 2011 9:40 am

wow moshiach times, even the goyim are pouring out of thirst for g-d,and who else to learn from other than g-ds chosen.

January 24, 2011 7:53 am

Definetly hiring the guy in the back row for my daughters wedding next month……

did anyone else notice...
January 24, 2011 7:41 am

when you watch kids/men who are not accustomed to wearing a kipah 24/7, their yarmulkas are constantly falling off especially when dancing.
But these kids mastered that! Not a single time did their yarmulkas fall off!

Why is it sad?
January 24, 2011 7:39 am

Why is it sad? There just trying to shake a couple pounds=]

...
January 24, 2011 3:01 am

sad a nigguns playin gin a church

January 23, 2011 11:38 pm
Whether Jewish or Not....
January 23, 2011 11:36 pm

These kids appear to be putting on a respectable performance. The girls are sitting quietly and respectfully too. The boys have all the steps down. They each have on a different looking kipa, which leads me to believe that it may be their own? This doesn’t look like a church, as there are menorahs displayed in the background. Looks more like a museum. In any case, I think their performance is great.

Cute
January 23, 2011 11:36 pm

the dancing is kinda stiff though…

Also, id it my imagination or did it play twice?

It's out there...
January 23, 2011 11:31 pm

It’s nothing new that christians use Judaism to promote their agenda. Starting from the very beginning when christianity was founded as a branch of Judaism to the churches that advertise “Jewish Seder” etc using Hebrew on the flier without saying that it’s actually christian.

Most notable for me is the Jews for Judaism book called “Igeres Hakodesh” with all references to JC written as “The Rebbe Mh’m” (I kid you not).

It’s out there people, you can’t stop it all. You can only educate those that may be conned and continue to spread authentic Yiddishkeit.

the rebbes niggun
January 23, 2011 11:30 pm

not stam an avraham frieds song the rebbes niggun wow dira betachtoinim

January 23, 2011 11:20 pm

i think this very cool

weird
January 23, 2011 11:19 pm

what are all those women wearing? are they part of the performance too?

To number 7
January 23, 2011 11:14 pm

Just cause they have menorahs mean nothing. They also have a shofar you can see at 1 point in the bottom left corner. But some of them actually look jewish so you never know 😉

lol
January 23, 2011 11:10 pm

i think its funny

oy veyz mir
January 23, 2011 11:02 pm

it might be cultural, but there have been incidents (re: Colorado a few years ago) where goyim learned these things to be able to infiltrate the Jewish community.
oy veyz mir

Am I missing something?
January 23, 2011 10:53 pm

I don’t see what the issue is…

January 23, 2011 10:53 pm
